Leading the charge towards the mysterious woman was a Nidorino. The purple Pokemon looked down at one of the dead Rangers, his trainer, and nudged the body desperately, as if attempting to wake the man up. Thomas stared at the woman as she got up, flanked by a Primeape and a Beheeyem.

The Beheeyem begins by rolling out a blanket of Psychic Terrain. The Nidorino, accepting that his trainer had died by this woman's hand, used Focus Energy, intent on avenging the man. The Primeape would charge the Scolipede, taking a swing at the insect with a Rage Fist.

The Kalosian wasted no time in drawing a telescopic baton, extending the blunt weapon with a single swing, before getting into stance.

A wave of psychic terrain envelops the battlefield, the power of the mind distorting the laws of space subtly around the duo as the Scolipede peels away from Xenon and moves to engage the Primeape and Nidorino. "Hey hey~ If you're here to join the party I'm afraid I've got some bad news, house is all filled up! Gonna have to turn you right back around now, unless you wanna know how it feels to get a limb chopped off. It's not the worst, but it's a pretty short experience unless you're already prepared ahead of time." She pulls up the sleeve on her left arm to demonstrate, razor sharp claws tipping her digits as she wiggles them at Thomas in a teasing manner. Her whole arm was made of metal in fact, an impressive prosthetic work to anyone with any kind of knowledge of engineering or science, but that's entirely besides the point.

A quiet buzz from that same arm however catches her attention as she taps on the back of her hand, a small hologram of some Rocket tactician saying something to her as she goes to completely ignoring Thomas as if he wasn't even there. "What's up? Yeah I know you've got people watching me. Uh huh. Yeah. No. Nope. Nuh uh... really? But I'm already at five, can't I just- ok. Okay okay, no need to raise your voice. Sheesh. You do know I'm an Elite right? Fine. Fiiiiiine." And with that little ten second distraction out of the way Xenon turns her attention back to Thomas as the hologram fades.

"Ok yeah, so command says you gotta die now. Sucks to be you kid." A cloud of sand explodes under her feet and into the air as she kicks into action, the blood stained metal claw rearing back into the air and then swinging forwards at the man's throat as she tries to end the match in one devastating move. Meanwhile Radon is doing a more than adequate job of fending off the Primeape as it swings around in a full three hundred and sixty degree arc and slams its tail into the monkey's fist, a thick coat of water covering the appendage and soaking the Primeape as the remnants of the attack splash forwards into its eyes. Without even a millisecond of hesitance she's then spinning back around in the other direction and thrusting her horn straight into her opponent's guard, the mass of razor sharp piercing chitin glowing and expanding into a powerful Megahorn!

Thomas watched as she rolled up her sleeve, to demonstrate the prosthetic arm she had. His family's business, Benoit Armaments, was responsible for the creation and production of many prosthetic limbs. He had no doubt if he ever lost a limb, he'd be getting one.

As she spoke to the tactician, Thomas took advantage of the moment. His Beheeyem would reposition himself, while the Nidorino and Primeape duo held the Scolipede's attention.

Thomas was not fazed by the woman's words, his expression stern, his stance unfaltering. As she lunged for his throat, Thomas waited until the opportune moment to sidestep the attack, attempting to pivot around and strike towards the back of her head with his baton.

The Primeape winced in irritation as droplets splashed into his eyes. The Megahorn caused him to cry out in more anger and pain, positioning himself to prevent the jab from hitting a vital organ. The Rage Fist that came out would only be empowered by the pain and anger he felt.

The Nidiorino would join in by giving the Primeape a Helping Hand. From the distance, the Beheeyem would attempt to blast the Scolipede with a Psychic Terrain-enhanced Psychic blast.

"You know you're supposed to banter along with me kid. Makes this whole thing a hell of a lot more tolerable in the long run." Even as he dodges her attack and counters with his own, it's as if she has eyes in the back of her head as the baton swings over her head, her body dropping into a low stance and spinning as she plants one hand on the ground to support herself, followed by an extending leg out to strike out at his knee and crumple him where he stood. Assuming he dodged back like any sane person would, it wouldn't take much effort for her to spring back into action and move into his guard, striking out with quick jabs aimed at his face, up close and personal to try and remove the reach advantage his baton offered him.

The Rage Fist connects this time as Radon tries to pull her horn back out from the Primeape's body, ghostly wrath resonating through her chitin shell and sending the bug skidding backwards through the sand. It was more painful then expected, the Scolipede's eyes flicker over to the small Nidorino with irritation as she curls up into a ball and uses Rollout to spin right towards the small thing and crush her under her wheel. She's already twice as fast as she was when the fight started, the Speed Boost in effect is obvious enough as she suddenly swerves her course to avoid the Psychic blast aimed at her, a cloud of sand and debris exploding up into the air where she just was as she changes targets and slams her body right into the Beheeyem.

This didn't mean that Primeape would be left to his own devices though. He'd have to be quick to notice the sand shifting and churning under his feet as a Glimmora suddenly explodes up and out of the ground, spikes extending and body spinning as it uses Mortal Spin to inject a deadly poison right into the raging beast.

"This will be anything but fun for you!", Thomas spat back at the mad Ultramodernist.

As he spoke, perhaps his voice would bring back memories, of a particularly persistent and violent agent of the International Police, who she might've run into, back in Unova.

As she ducked down, Thomas backed away as quickly as he could. The taller man managed to dodge the kick aimed at his knee. Though her moving in to take away his range didn't help matters, the trained combatant was able to handily duck and weave away from her jabs, before attempting to throw a low kick aimed at the side of her leg.

The Primeape's eyes widened as the Glimmora rises from the earth. He has no time to react to the Mortal Spin, which sends poisons into his system. It's at this point that the Primeape grips his chest, and collapses, seemingly expiring from a heart attack.

In retaliation, the Nidorino attempted to take the Glimmora out by using Earth Power, in an attempt to cause the ground to erupt from underneath the ore flower.

The Beheeyem is struck by the Rapid Spin. The alien is sent flying back several feet, before landing in the sand with a thud. Despite this, the Psychic-type gets up, attempting to fire another Psychic blast towards the insect.

"You obviously haven't been paying attention! This has been nothing but fun for me!" Xenon quips back as she takes the kick to the leg, bracing her footing and just letting the powerful strike reverberate through her body and numb her leg a bit while she continues to push forwards. As for memories of a certain past Interpol officer... well, you're asking the wrong person if you're looking for fond memories or recognition. As far as she was concerned, everything that happened in Unova might as well have happened to another person, for all she knew it probably did. Past lives, past names, the past in general, all totally and utterly useless to her.

Jabs to the face start getting interrupted by vicious hooks to his sides as she starts to weave around his guard, eyes darting from spot to spot on his body as she mechanically picks apart his stance and movements with machine-like precision, picking out exactly where he would be rather than where he was.

It's unclear whether it was truly the poisons that kill the Primeape or simply its own rage inspiring a heart attack helped along by the Glimmora's ruthless toxins, but regardless of all that the deed was done. And Bismuth was already preparing for the next ambush as it starts to wiggle back down into the sand to lie in wait for whomsoever might attack next. Or at least, that was the plan until the Nidorino strikes back. A raw explosion of earth aspected energy throws the miscolored pokemon up into the air, utterly incapacitating it in a single strike as the rich ground smothers its poisonous body and shatters its stone defenses, if it were a Nidoking then Bismuth would undoubtedly be dead just from that single strike.

Another psychic blast launched towards the spinning Scolipede, another miss as it uses its increasing speed to swerve out of the way and Rollout into the Beheeyem once more from the side, pounding and pounding into the alien doll with no breaks, no mercy, only pure speed and momentum that's ever increasing as the fight continues.

Thomas was initially caught off guard by the side jabs. Despite this, the man was able to keep up with the Ultramodernist's strikes, thanks to his training. Intent on dazing her, Thomas attempted to headbutt her. If successful, he would then follow this up by attempting to forcefully shove her back, while backing away himself, attempting to regain some distance.

Much to the frustration of the Beheeyem, the Scolipede dodged the attack again. And thanks to the momentum afforded to it by the combination of Speed Boost and Rollout, he was in a bad spot. Despite this, he had a plan.

The Nidorino found himself surprised by the fact that he took out the Glimmora. He was given no time to celebrate, as Elvis the Beheeyem Telepathically told him to look to him, and wait for his signal.

When prompted, the Nidorino erected an Earth Power ramp in front of the Beheeyem, in order to catch the Scolipede, and prevent it from striking the extraterrestreal Pokemon.

The Beheeyem began to put himself in a Calm state of Mind, in order to fortify himself for what was to come.

Meanwhile, the 'corpse' of the Primeape became surrounded with ethereal energy. It was as if a Dark evolution began to take place. With a final flash of spectral energy, the 'dead' Primeape rose to his feet, his body darkened.

Ralph, through his overwhelming rage, had evolved into an Annihilape.

A rock hard forehead rushes forward into her face, quick reflexes and even quicker improvisation are the reason she can think fast enough to tilt her own head forward enough to avoid a broken nose. She's still left with a blinding headache though as she stumbles back a step, only just managing to keep her feet under her as Thomas forcefully separates them once more. But the pain clears soon enough and Xenon grins as she shakes it off, once more bringing her sword to bear and staring the man down with bloodlust in her eyes. "Thick skull you've got there. Can't wait to see how many chops it takes to split it." She mutters as she steps forward and swings down with a seemingly straightforward chop. Close attention to her footwork tells a different story however as she pulls back just before committing, left foot sliding back as she draws away from any counter he might have had cooked, suddenly moving into a defensive game as she tries to open him up to make some kind of mistake in his posture to exploit.

The Beheeyem's plan would work well enough as a ramp of stone sends the Scolipede flying skyward, just a moment of hangtime before she comes crashing back down to earth and spinning right back around for another swipe at her opponent. But rather than attacking the opponent who so obviously was ready for her now, the spinning centipede sets her sights instead on the Nidorino, the target she had had in the first place before the extraterrestrial doll had so rudely interrupted them. And now that it was devoting itself to its meditation, that meant there was nobody to stop her from just crushing that little thing right under her!

But yet another variable introduces itself. A corpse rises with the sheer fury of the dead, white tufts of fur darkening at their ends as evolution brings its grace upon the Primeape. Xenon clicks her tongue and takes her hand off her sword for just a moment to swipe two Pokeballs off of her belt, batting them onto the sands and releasing two beings of darkness to take the field. The first is but a mere Absol, its horn agleam with an ebony glow as it rushes the Beheeyem with a deadly Night Slash in tow.

And the other would be a machine to crush the dead back into their grave, a three headed leviathan dragon locking eyes with the Annihilape and humming with sheer power. Its engine thrums softly as it analyzes the threat placed before it, Paradox energy coursing through its circuitry as it cycles through attack options in milliseconds of processing time. Finally the Iron Jugulis opens its mouth and Roars, a triplet beam of Flash Cannons erupting from its heads to put that ape back in the dirt where it belonged.

Thomas shook his head after the impact of the headbutt. It was clear that despite whatever pain it inflicted on him, he was accustomed to it.

"A sword, huh? Pretty primative, for an Ultramodernist.", Thomas remarked.

Thomas readied himself for the strike. The trained fighter took notice of her footwork, instead timing himself for a backward dodge, while keeping his stance up.

The Nidorino watched as the Scolipede took to the air. Though happy with his success in protecting his friend, the use of Earth Power tired him out. He was unable to defend himself as the Scolipede crushed his body, killing him.

As Xenon deployed two more Pokeballs, Thomas did the same, deploying his Iron Valiant, as well as his Ceruledge.

The Beheeyem, worn out from prior battles, it unable to Teleport to safety in time, as the Night Slash strikes him down. Before the Absol could think to finish him off, Artanis stepped in. The Iron Valiant attempted to daze the Absol with a Dazzling Gleam.

Mordred, upon spotting the Annhilape in the crosshairs of the Iron Jugulis, quickly Ally Switched with the undead simian, taking the Flash Cannon barrage. The haunted armor glowers up at the imitation Hydreigon, readying himself to lunge at the creature in retaliation.

Thomas takes notice to the Interdream Mist leaking onto the sands. Figures begin to manifest from the mist, eventually spawning in an angry Iron Treads.

"Wrong! Wrong wrong wrong, the blade is as avant garde and ultramodern as any weapon your pitiful brain could possibly comprehend! It requires skill, grace, a strong body, it's a symbol of violence and conquest, which makes it perfect for the kind of future I have in mind!"

The insane ramblings of the woman are only just covered up by the incredible violence happening not even a dozen yards away, the four hundred kilogram bug smashes into the Nidorino and utterly reduces him into a fine paste, mixing in with the sand and burying any trace that he or his master might have ever existed. And still it spins as it curves its trajectory and spins towards Xenon and Thomas with the speed of a lightning bolt. Perhaps its because she can feel the oncoming mist, sensing the encroaching dreams and racing to save her partner with all due haste.

And indeed it comes, that pink fog pooling around their ankles and signalling the approach of a pack of Iron Treads. Any interest she had in a fight is gone as her attention drifts away from Thomas and towards the symbols of her future, taking a step back and sheathing her sword with nary a thought in mind for the one who was once her foe. "If we cross paths again, don't count on another miracle to save you. The future is only so kind so often." Xenon warns as Radon unfurls between them and scoops her up onto her back, both the Absol and Iron Jugulis disengaging from their opponents in a heartbeat as they follow their trainer into the mists for their next hunt.

"Sounds like a massive cope to me. At least go for a lightsaber, or some shit.", Thomas jeered at the Rocket.

The arrival of the Interdream Mist, and the Paradox Pokemon manifesting from it, caught the attention of the Ultramodernist. Thomas kept his eyes on not only the mechanical elephant, but his previous foe.

"I look forward to it!", Thomas growled.

As the Rocket made her exit into the Interdream Mist, Thomas, Artanis, Mordred, and Ralph turned their attention to the Iron Treads, who had its sights trained on the group. The newly evolved Annihilape seemed to be amped up most of all to take on the futuristic Donphan.
